Gør jer klar til den perfekte, skotske forfest til VM-kvalifikationskampen mellem Danmark og Skotland, når Gallus indtager Rust fredag den 4. september.

Efter at være blevet dannet en sen aften på en pub af samme navn gik der ikke længe, før indie-punkerne i Gallus havde etableret sig som et af Glasgows mest omtalte navne; ikke mindst på baggrund af deres kaotiske og fuldstændigt medrivende liveshows. Bandet så dagens lys, da fætrene Paul og Eamon Ewins allierede sig med barndomsvennen Barry Dolan, der – på trods af aldrig at have lavet musik før – viste sig som et sandt naturtalent med mikrofonen i hånden, og hvis energi og karisma hurtigt dannede grundlag for Gallus’ hektiske stil.

I 2024 udgav Gallus deres første fuldlængde, “We Don’t Like The People We’ve Become”, som blev fulgt op af bandets første store Europaturné (blandt andet med en forrygende koncert på Basement i København). Tidligere i år udkom også EP’en “Cool to Drive”, som kun yderligere cementerer bandets status som et af hjemlandets fornemmeste punkorkestre, der ikke mindst skal opleves live.

Get ready for the perfect, Scottish pre-match warmup the night before the World Cup qualifier between Denmark and Scotland, when Gallus take on Rust on Friday, September 4th.

After forming in a pub of the same name, the Glasgow indie-punks have made their way to the summit of Scotland’s underground music scene.
The band formed under unorthodox circumstances; after failed attempts to get their previous musical project off the ground, cousins Paul and Eamon Ewins recruited school friend Barry Dolan as their front man after seeing him in a college play, despite little to no musical background. It was his dynamism and energy that drew them to him, and it was these characteristics that the band grew famous for.
The band’s reputation for electric, and at times chaotic, live shows grew quickly, and they soon took to filling rooms up and down the UK, Europe and beyond – and can’t wait to have them kickstart our (and your) weekend!
